Anybody here try that new Parker Fly Mojo http://www.parkerguitars.com/code/models/models_fly_mojof_intro.asp ? Parker's have excellent reviews consistently, and I browsed the site for anyone's thoughts on Mojo, and couldn't find any. I'm going to try one out in a store...I'm considering replacing my Gibson Les Paul Standard Double-Cut + with one, which would mean I'd have to pay roughly $1400 for the upgrade to a Parker Fly Mojo Flame.

Anyone know when Digital Guitars are coming out? I'm talking about the Gibson ones where you can have a seperate output for each string.

Also, it appears that the Axon Guitar-to-Midi Converter has gone down in price, and it being the best on the planet, I'm considering getting one of those too. Linky- http://www.swee****er.com/store/detail/AX100SB/ . $1000 roughly for the expanded SB version is a steal.

I got a big tax return and now it looks like it's Gear-Upgradin' time!

Yeah I'm definitely more interested in the Parker than Axon, but the ability to have Electric, Acoustic, and MIDI sounds at my arsenal is so tempting. One of my favorite guitarists (John Mclaughlin) actively supports Axon and uses it quite a bit.

I hear that it weighs only 5 lbs, the Mojo. This is amazing, my current guitar (Gibson Les Paul Standard DC+) weighs about 7 pounds, and feels pretty light to me. Another thing I was interested in was the neck length; the DC+ has a 24.75" neck length with 24-frets, and the Mojo has a 25.50" neck length with 24 frets; to me this is substantial, because I heavily prefer 25.50" necks to 24.75" necks, they feel more spacious.

PonyOne, what would be in your dream custom axe?

Parker's are very nice guitars, but they just don't feel right to me for some reason. I've only played one, and while it was a great guitar, it just wasn't me. As far as the digital stuff goes, have you looked into a Line6 Variax 700?

Have you looked at PRS recently ? Dave's Guitar in La Cross has billions of 'em. That is not too far from you is it ?

La Cross is about 2.5 hours from where I live; if I'm ever in that area, I'll check one out.

Too bad Parker doesn't make a 3-humbucker guitar, eh? I would definitely snatch one up.

Im glad Dave's guitar store is further away from me than that !

I swear that place has its own gravity !

I also might switch to a Hollowbody. D'Angelico makes some nice hollowbodies, but they are far too large for me. So there I am, in the same situation Pony is in, thinking maybe about a custom again. Except this time the control panel won't have a garage-door opener...;)
