if you want a recommendation on a brilliant hip-hop lyricist, check out anything by Sage Francis or Aesop Rock's Labor days album. Especially Sage's most recent single Slow Down Gandhi- he proves that hip hop can be intelligent, politically aware, and introspective, not all about bling and guns. Anyway, hope that helps- I can put my money where my mouth is if it was my lyrics that someone wanted to see btw... let me know...
