I would check out:
www.metalmethod.comDoug Marks' course is very good, ask me how I know.
I would go with the complete basic course and Michael Angelo's Speed Kills DVDs.
The complete basic course starts out with the very basics, which is helpful if you missed some of the easier stuff. It progresses into sweeping, alternate picking, economy picking, modal theory, and it is very well put together.
I am glad I purchased it and recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more, or who is just stuck in a rut. I could play before I got it, but didn't understand modal theory, or any of the advanced picking techniques. His course opened my eyes and got me going.
Michael Angelo's Speed Kills is really a speed technique video. He goes through all the popular picking styles and gives some very good exercises.
Best money I've ever spent on guitar. See for yourself
(P.S. - Rusty Cooley is a student of Metal Method)
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.
