i need to buy a electric guitar to start with. I know a little about guitars already ive been playin with my friends Fender Strat for the past 9 months and now i need to buy a guitar but dont really have the money to buy a 1000 dollar one. yall think yall could help me pick out a good guitar for not too much money.

Well why not start with a second hand Fender strat ?
The Mexican or TexMex ones are relatively cheap and, if you get a good one very good value for money.
It is important to try several different types of guitar to get a feel for what is out there and it is also a good idea to try the very one you are going to take home as not all guitars with the same name are the same !!!
