I've played one before, and it sounded really nice, but just didn't feel right to me. Almost felt like a toy.

Ibanez copies jackson. I don't liek ibanez, and yes i do own one. I love jacksons'.

If you really want a PRS. I suggest you don't buy one. It is not worth the price you are playing for. First of all it's not handmade anymore. They are mechinically made. So you are paying for a handmake guitar that isn't handmaded. Second of all check out a quicksilver from www.edroman.com I promise you it is well worth the time and money.

and yes I have played a parker! I think they are one of the most amazing guitars to have been ever made. They are smooth and clean and feel great for me.

Why does everyone hate Floyd's so much?

I agree, I was a little intimidated by it when I got my first one, but now, I don't think I could live without it.

Endless tremelo bar abuse and doesn't go out of tune. They are really a treat. The first time I changed strings was fun, but it's not nothing anyone should be scared of, it's quite simple, and I could do it in about 20 minutes or so now.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

The JEM is the way to go man. I've played many a PRS, but not a one has come close to comparing the the high end JEM.

Everything is handmade except the rough cutting of the body's and necks. After the body's and necks are CNC'd a real person hand sands them to spec. (Even most of the small luthier's use some sort of cnc/machining to rough cut their body's.) They have a person hand wire the gutiars, a person finish the guitars, a person buff the guitars, a person to install all the hardware, and a person to set up each guitar. Then EACH guitar is thoroughly examined to make sure it meets a very high standard, before it is packed and shipped. If the guitar does not meet their standard, at any point during the process, it is immediately cut in half and scrapped.

Oh, and BTW, the private stock PRSi are completely hand made, even the top is hand carved.

I think the jem 555 comes with a 'lesser' floyd on it.Mabey the low trs...not sure.If it isn't the original edge or edge pro, then it isn't worth it.

First off the site you gave me if filled with bs info. Check the facts before hand please.

2nd of all. I really don't consider a handmade gutiar a guitar whose body and neck were made from a machine, but the rest done by several other people.
Nothing special for each gutiar to be throughly expected. Many companies do that.

I will admit I do like PRS, but if given the choice between a quicksilver or prs. Quicksilver wins hands down. I don't think many people here actually played a quicksilver, but for those who have and still like prs. You are one hell of a person for standing up for prs.

But back to the website. It is a secret that Ed buys soem guitars from pawn shops and random other stores. He even tells stories about it on his site. IT isn't shocking to hear PRS wont give ed guitar's, because he sells them at the lowest price possible. He also does take good care of his customes. He gave me a new quicksilver just because the one i ordered was slightly wrong. He also does flame fender and gibson all the time for their gutiars. Reason why guitar's by CNC are less valuable is because they lack the man hours behind the building.

As for the horrow stories. Nothing new. Hell ed got some, but at the same time there are also praise stories. So which are better? Of course the one that agree with you.
I can't help it. When I get an idea that excites me it's as if I can't breath unless I make it real.

meh...I think I'll go the ebay route for an eventual PRS purchase...Ed dosn't have just a 'few' unhappy customers. As for his own guitars I can't say,but I don't care for traditional strats,so I can't see myself buying a quiksilver ever...

Like what? You need to start backing up your claims. Besides, if you consider Ed a reliable source you have serious reality issues you need to sort out.

2nd of all. I really don't consider a handmade gutiar a guitar whose body and neck were made from a machine, but the rest done by several other people.

You mean like quicksilver? Do you honestly believe those are entirely hand made?

IT isn't shocking to hear PRS wont give ed guitar's, because he sells them at the lowest price possible.

That has nothing do with it. PRS won't give Ed guitars because, when he was a liscenced PRS dealer, he retopped old guitars, marked them up, and sold them as 'new'. What part of fraud don't you understand?

Ed's very infamous for being an arsehole to his customers. I don't believe your story. There's no way someone who butchers their own language like you do could afford a quicksilver.
