Intonation problem with Ibanez Iceman

Hi Everyone

I am trying to intonate my friends Ibanez Iceman but I've been having some problems. First, I should mention my intonation technique: I have been sounding an open note and then trying to match it to the 12th fret note by adjusting the saddles foreward or backward. (I have been using an electric tuner) I used this technique on my telecaster and it worked fine but on the Iceman the 12th fret note is significantly flatter no matter how close I move the saddles towards the pickups. I think this is happening because I need to move the whole bridge towards the pickups but it doesn't look like this can be done. Should I try raising or lowering the bridge?

I would greatly appreciate some help.

raising / lowering the bridge shouldn't make any difference to intonation as you are altering scale length.

The iceman looks like it has a LP style bridge. I have intoned these.

The first thing to remember is that the saddles can go in two ways and by reversing the saddle it is posable to get a little more travel out of it (i.e. with the flat end rather than the sloped end facing the Pickup in case of dropping the scale length).

After that it is just a case of finding the sweet spot.

No, the strings were changed a couple weeks ago. It turns out that Dr simon's solution worked though. Thanks for the help guys, the guitarsounds a lot better.
