Compare the earlier stuff (with Roger Fisher) to things like "All I Wanna Do" and you'll see what I mean. Credit where it's due - she earned the right to be judged on that level. Truth be told, I never got to that level.

by no means is she the best guitarist in the world...but shes the best girl guitarist I've ever seen/heard...alot of their stuff is very original...and that intro for "crazy on you" is awesome...i also have a DVD of them in concert...she moves around quite a bit, swinging that guitar around everywhere...

ha and you all thought this topic was finally dead... no I bring it back to life... my girlfriend actually just told me she wants to learn guitar, so there you go! and what better teacher than the guy that has only been playing for 6 months and is completely self-taught! (please note that sarcasm was intended ;) )

Ive tried to teach my misses a couple of times and got absolutely nowhere, she asks me to teach her but gives up in two seconds every time and its sooooo annoying, although she did manage to stick with it for about fifteen minutes one day and learn old macdonald.
There are some awesome female players out there though, my misses may not ever be one of them but there are definetly plenty out there.

well my girlfriend plays piano, so she can already read music, and can count the beats and stuff... which is more than I can say about myself!!! I tried to explain how to read tabs to her and she got confused though... lol

Haha alright i'll answer you question... yes girls do play guitar and take it seriously. I've wanted to play guitar for years but i always played piano and violin because supposively those were the girlie instruments that I should be playing. However I gave up on that whole idea and went out and got a bass... started playing that for 2 years then decided guitar was more my thing. I got my first guitar a year ago Takamine acoustic G series, love it! lol and I play as much as I can and try to write as much as possible. My older brother and sister both play guitar too and also write music. We all take it seriously and theres nothing I like more then playing guitar. So does that answer your question? hopefully!
have a good one

And yes, we do have at least one female guitarist here.
Now you've got two....

Hey, I dont see why i need to prove myself lol but a lot of guys here seem to think that girls are posers... well I agree a lot actually are.. I know girls that say they wanna start a band so I ask them to show me what they can do and they play maybe an a chord.. maybe a d .. and then they say thats all they need to know to play music.. not true. However I do know that there are girls out there who take it seriously . Myself and my sister both take guitar very seriously ... write our own music etc. So I can't speak for everyone else but I can however speak for us.!
Haha later boys

Now I'm not saying that I will ever jump off an amp and slide across a stage on my knees but this girl is going to Jam...
haha there is nothing wrong with jumping off an amp and sliding across a stange on your knees... maybe set a guitar on fire in the process ;)!

I highly recommend wearing long pants while doing it. Friction burns on your legs aren't cool.

Of course this was back when you could buy a Goldtop Les Paul for 10 bucks and Sears was the best place to get the cool guitars... LOL
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?
