I have a Jackson Rhoads "V". The 13th, 14, and 15th frets under the G, B and E string have bad dead spots and fret buzz. I cannot afford to have the guitar refretted. Is there anything I can do? I really need this guitar ready for stage and studio work within two weeks. Please, is there anyone who can help me!!!!!!!!

You could try raising the action or adding some relief (curvature) to the neck by adjusting the truss rod.

try searching for "guitar set up"

Would it really cost that much to have just those 3 frets redone? I had a few frets fixed on an old acoustic and it cost me around $50 CAD, if I recall correctly. That also included some other minor work on the guitar (new strap button, setup, overall tune-up of the guitar).

$50 CAD is about $40 USD.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

My point is that you may not need the frets re-doing, you may just need to tweak your set up !

Definately have a pro do a set-up on the guitar first before considering getting it re-fretted.

I reworked the neck and got it sounding pretty good. All the notes sound with no buzzing, except for the 17th fret under the B string. At that spot there is a small dent in the fret, I have tryed to file the fret but it hasn't done too much. I think maybe if I raise that string alittle it might take care of the buzz. I have never dealt with a Floyd Rose before in my life is there a way to raise only one string or do you have to raise the whole bridge?
