Would it really cost that much to have just those 3 frets redone? I had a few frets fixed on an old acoustic and it cost me around $50 CAD, if I recall correctly. That also included some other minor work on the guitar (new strap button, setup, overall tune-up of the guitar).

$50 CAD is about $40 USD.
