"Im six feet from the edge and Im thinking... maybe 6 feet aint so far down"

What so the cliff your standing on is only 6 feet high?!?! Whats so bad about that?! You said you were 6 feet from the edge.. I find it unlikely the edge also has a 6 feet drop!!

If you sit down then you wont need to take a seat.. beacuse youd already be seated!! I think he meant "take a seat and sit yourself down"!!

Well a typical grave is 6 feet deep. So what I think he's saying is....he's 6 feet from being dead, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad if he actually were dead.

It means he's 6 feet from the edge of the cliff and it would be really easy to kill himself. ie, 6ft in the ground, in a grave.

I think they knew when they wrote it that 6 feet isn't all that much.
