such a shame. he was a great guitarist and a legend. he will be missed.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

Yea, he always left it all out on stage, huh? I'm gonna have to get one of his custom Dean's at some point. Probably after I get my JEM which will be after hell freezes over, but hey at least I got a timeline established here :)

I'm not a huge fan of his, but I do really enjoy some of his work. When I heard this on the radio this morning on my way to work, I almost ran off the road  . Why do such horrible things have to happen to such talent

For real dude. Next to Coal Miners and Fire Fighters, being a guitarist is next on the list of "Most Deadly Occupations". Why do all the legends have to die?

Dime was an inspiration to alot of us.
From the way things played out, it looks like he had some sort of grudge against Dimebag...c'mon 4 in the chest at almost point blank and didn't waiver to anyone before he shot him. And there was security...they followed him on the stage and got shot at after the fact when they tried to grab him.

Just goes to show that there are some serious WACKOS out there.

Yeah it really sucks.....Nathan Gale is a bastard for doing that.....Darrell Dimebag was probably the best pure metal guitarist....His riffs were original and hardcore, mind-blowing shred solos (Not a Petrucci or anything, but good for what he did). He was only 38....But he died with a guitar in his arms, jamming....I can't think of a better way to go

RIP, Dimebag!!

Yes, truly a sad day. Dime was probably the most influntial guitar player to come around since Eddie Van Halen. He is and forever will be hailed one of the greats.

I heard the news about 13 hours ago and I still cant believe its true. The man was so cool. Sure, his music was not for everyone, but from what I have seen, Dime was rarely seen without a smile on his face. And the man could play metal like nobody else. His passion to play and jam was only slightly overshadowed by his "Im enjoying and love being alive SO much" look that just shinned from his face.

As far as Im concerned, the best metal guitarist ever is gone, and nobody can figure out why, because its impossible to.

I was so pissed, becaus ei heard it at school, so i went home, and started blasting some Pantera. I really hope Zakk, or someone will do a tribute to him.

A great influence, in the world of rock.

God Bless him, and RIP
