Sound

My computer just stopped playing sound. I made sure all the volume adjustments were up and nothing was muted. but its still quiet. anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

HAve you checked all the connections i.e. from the speaker to the sound card. Have you checked your speakers are still plugged in ?

ya, actually its coming out of a computer mic

Go to device manager to see if your onboard sound is working properly(click on control panel,performance and maintenance,system,hardware,and then device manager).Youll see a list of hardware stuff...click on the little speaker icon(near the bottom mabey)and check all the sub-genre choices.

Of course the above only works in winXP(I think).

thanks for the info, but I somehow got it working again, i dunno,k I had to download an update for real player or something???? which i dont get because how doe sthat effect my whole comp. o well., thanks anyways.
