Ressurection

He's got a nice little ditty there. It's bit "busy" at times, but for someone who's been playing 2 years it's got some wail-appeal.

hey man its decent not bad, but the thing is your not judged on how good you are according to how fast you play ok. Everyone tries to play fast shreds and everything. Every since the 80's all the hair bands try to play fast and shred nonsensely and [U]TAP[/U] its good at the level he can play.

ya i know, but I've also been playing for 2 years and I can tell you, I'm nowhere NEAR as good as that recording

it mostly depends on the intrest you put into guitar. or you can go the cheap way and just learn guitar tabs over and over. ;)

no. im fine with what u said, its just im a lot less experienced and to me that sounds amazing. and i was just saying that if that sucked i really suck.

He seems to just use a lot of delay to get it to sound fast, and then he throws in random meaningless bents and stuff!

Just sounds like a nerd trying to show off! Infact its inspired me to start recording! I might buy another 4 track like I had last year!!

a nerd trying to show off? I agree it might not be the best if ur so experienced and stuff, but i mean hes only been play for 2 yrs, and how is he showing off? Hes just playing what he can. He didnt even put it up here, I did, so maybe you dont like the recording , but i think that was a little over personal, and that statement didnt make much sense.

its alright. This is a forum you can express your views like i said he is not bad for 2 years maybe my standards are a bit high, so are others. yes i think that nerd comment was a bit over the bridge. No one sucks at guitar, just keep practicing and have fun while doing so.

If the guy enjoys what hes playing and what he gets outa music then fine. But more often than not these guys who ask "how do I play fast" arent really bothered about the musicality of what there playing.. more the notariety.

the only reason i was impressed is because I havent been playing for to long and to me it sounds good. though, it might aactually not be. and i agree it did sound messy at some parts.

I'd like to say he's good for having only played for two years, but he recorded so many layers I'm not sure how fast he actually is. Now his feel is lacking, but since this recording was about goofing off and having some fun, I think we need no further discussion on lack of musical aptitude. This was a show-off piece, and not a bad one for a beginner. Some of the runs (the ones I could clearly define as just one guitar) impressed and surprised me. I mean, let's cut the dude some slack, he hasn't been playing for very long and to be able to do that at two years is, well, something to show off!

Yes, the playing was pretty sloppy at times, but he's no professional for God's sake! So you actually know this kid in person? If you do, tell him to join the forum. I'm sure there are many guitarists here (myself included) who would love to give him a few pointers.

^^ i completely agree with everything u said, and i met him in person when I met him but as of now I only talk to him on aim, i told him about the forum and he might join.
