Set the Master Volume up at 12 o'clock and use your guitar volume knobs to dial the volume up and down. That should help with the noise 'cause if you got your volume on the amp all the way and you guitars volume up then your asking for noise.
Try the and let us know.
I've played those amps at the guitar store and they are just great! Pretty good tube tone.

*But,do you REALLY need to play with the gain all the way up ? What you are encountering is the load/impeadance imbalance between the pick-up/volume knob and the amp.....Try bringin' that gain back down to 5/8 or 3/4 and play your amp that way for a couple of days.....I'll bet that you will still have all the distortion you need and the guitar will sound a tad "crisper" and your sound more controllable.....And then again, maybe not...:D
*Turn the bastard up and see what happenz.... :D
