Help! My Harmonic is broken =(
I was playing my electric guitar a few minutes ago, and I went to hit the harmonics on the 5th fret... No pretty ring happened... At first I thought I was just losing my mind, so I tried my other guitars and sure enough, it worked on them. I have no clue why my harmonic isn't harmonic... Any input about it would be dandy. Thanks.

One of those hurricanes probably sucked the the harmonics right out of it, or it could just be time to change strings and check the intonation...............

might be time to change out the harmonics valve, I think those are only good for 75,000 licks, I had one go out on me once, I could only play pentatonic licks until I got it changed................ :p

Blew a Harmonics valve, I had one go green and eventually fall off completely !
I had to whistle the missing bits !
Took me ages to get another one threaded properly !

don't let them get to you Zee. What might be a legitament question to you (which that is) might not be to them with their many years of experience. I would say it needs a new set of strings and the intonation adjusted like pstring said. Try to do the harmonic just a little down or up the neck from the 5th fret. If it works then, you can be guaronteed that you need your intonation adjusted. If it still wont ring out like it should, your strings might just be very dead. Either way, I'd say change the strings.

EDIT: Hmmm... looks like someone caught my little linkage... actually, kudos to them! They went so far as to come up with a picture that says "I am trying to steal someone's pictures!" and then rename it to the file I was linking to! If you go to their website, the thumbnail says the same thing!!!

Pay him no mind, he gets that way when his harmonica is broken,,, I actually learned how to play harmonica after years of trying, come to find out all I had to do was tune to open E and slide it up and down the strings, still don't sound like that guy in Blues Traveller though :confused:
