don't let them get to you Zee. What might be a legitament question to you (which that is) might not be to them with their many years of experience. I would say it needs a new set of strings and the intonation adjusted like pstring said. Try to do the harmonic just a little down or up the neck from the 5th fret. If it works then, you can be guaronteed that you need your intonation adjusted. If it still wont ring out like it should, your strings might just be very dead. Either way, I'd say change the strings.
