help with dream theatre lick

Do i just need to practice termalo picking and work on getting my left hand faster or is there another way of playing it?

Sorry, no way to cheat on that one. I forgot how fast that really was.

Get a metronome and play it very slowly, include the full step bend on the 21st fret and the vibrato as well. What I mean it play the entire phrase along with a metronome. The tempo of this song is pretty slow anyway. So you may need to set the metrnome real slow. Use alternate picking (up/down/up/down) as well.

Good luck with this one, it's a challenge. But you can do it!!!!!
