Description
Now it's time to play through our practice tune up to speed. I'm not using a backing track, because the idea is for an arrangement like this to stand completely on it's own. We're playing bass, accompaniment and melody all at once, so while it could totally work with a rhythm section, it's really cool that it can stand on it's own like that. As always I encourage you to just watch and listen a few times before you start playing along yourself. Then play along with me as many times as you need to before you ultimately play the arrangement all by yourself.
I hope you've enjoyed learning this practice tune, and that you'll take a moment to congratulate yourself on making it to the end of Acoustic Level 2!
I'm sure somethings were harder than others, and maybe you even had to skip a few things along the way. That's totally okay, because while I do everything in my power to make the courses as chronological as I possibly can, no two guitar players are the same, and it's different what comes easy and what causes problems for all of us. So don't be frustrated if you still have to circle back to several tough spots that you've hit along the way. That's all part of it! Even if you nailed it all it wouldn't be a bad idea to go back through it all again. There's always something to pick up that you missed, or simply something you can do better than you did it the first time around.
I'm also sure some of the styles we covered resonated more with you than others, and maybe you're still determined to play the same style of music as you were when you started out. In that case you've only gotten better by learning all the rest. That'll be evident in any style of music you decide to play on your acoustic guitar. It's also possible that you discovered you like playing a style of music you didn't think you'd like. Either way I hope you'll follow the inspiration and keep putting in time trying to master the possibilities of acoustic guitar playing!
