Description
In this tutorial we'll break down, practice and ultimately play through a slightly more advanced instrumental guitar arrangement of a melody that I've written to include a lot of classic sounding tension notes.
While the mechanics and musical concepts will be mostly familiar to you, we're going to approach this practice tune from a new theoretical perspective, where we look at the way the melody interacts with the underlying harmony. Aside from gaining a deeper theoretical understanding of the way melody and harmony works together, this will also provide some extra practice of the swing feel and the open string lines that we've explored in the previous tutorials.
