Description

Now it's time to play through practice tune up to speed with the backing track.

I hope you've had a ton of fun with the drop D and double drop D-tuning. These particular tunings are a bit of a hybrid since they're close enough that it's not too much trouble to figure out how to adapt some of the things you already know in standard tuning to also work in drop D and double drop D. For the more elaborate open tunings I don't necessarily recommend doing that, unless you really want to. It's more about figuring out what the tuning has to offer that you don't get from standard tuning. I hope our examples in this tutorial made that very clear and that you're excited to go explore some more drop D and double drop D on your own.
