Description
For the electric, I’m using a Telecaster, but any guitar is suitable. Choose the nek pickup for a round, warm tone.
As far as amps go, any Fender style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set the amp for a clean sound. Set the Drive to 35%, Bass to 50%, Mid to 50%, Treble to 65%, and Presence to 65%.
Guitar 1 uses a slapback echo to get that early country/rockabilly sound. Add a little reverb to Guitar 2 for depth.
I’m using 10-46 gage for the electric with a heavy pick.
Here are the settings I used:
Fender Deluxe Model:
Drive: 35% Bass: 50% Mid: 50% Treb: 65% Presence: 65%
SlapBack Echo (GTR 1):
Time: 130ms Feedback: 0% Wet/DryMIX: 40%
Spring Reverb (GTR 2):
Wet/DryMIX: 30%
