Now it's time to play through our PT at full speed with the backing track. I know there's a lot going on, so please don't waste energy getting frustrated if it takes you a while before you have it all memorized and mastered. This is real music we're playing here, so it's okay that it takes little extra time and effort. And as always I highly recommend that you just watch and listen a couple of times before you start playing along yourself. And once you do, I really want you to put all your focus on matching the mood of the song in your playing. I know that sounds a little abstract, but music gets really powerful when everybody who's playing together is coming from the same place, and in this case it's all about the mood.
I hope you've had a lot of fun with this practice tune. My goal here is to keep the overall level of difficulty moving forward ever so slightly, and introduce just a few new tools and tricks in every tutorial. If you're having a hard time with any of this, please don't bother getting frustrated. As always you have two options if this happens- you can either hunker down and tackle the issue until it's no longer a problem, or you can look for a way around it. These practice tunes won't be hard to simplify if that's what you decide. And in fact, knowing how to work your way around a problem in a creative and musical way is also a skill itself that's definitely worth practicing. So don't feel bad if you leave out certain details or adapt some of the parts in order to get through the practice tune and keep moving forward!
