Description

I'm playing a Les Paul style guitar for this song, but any guitar with a humbucker in the bridge position is perfect. The humbucker provides plenty of clarity and power for chunky rhythms and blazing leads.

As far as amps go, any cranked up Marshall style tube amp is the perfect choice. Dial in an overdriven crunch sound by cranking the preamp drive control all the way up. Set the bass to 45%, mids to 65%, treble to 70%, and presence to 75%. For Guitar 2, you may want to kick in an overdrive pedal for more sustain while soloing.

I use a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig right into riffs and licks with some great attack! Add some reverb for depth. Here are the settings I used:

Marshall Plexi Model:
Drive: 100% Bass: 45% Mid: 65% Treb: 70% Presence: 75%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 45%
