Now let's check out another important variation of the basic distortion sound. This type of gain is used a lot in hard rock and metal, and it's a really cool sound.

First I'll show you how the controls on the pedal work, and it will get a little bit technical when we get into the more advanced EQ controls. But don't think you have to understand it all to use this sound. You can always leave the controls you don't understand at 12 o'clock.
