Embellishment Practice Tune

Now let's play through a practice tune to explore and practice all of these basic open chord embellishments. Remember that you often have to forget and relearn new things multiple times before they stick, so don't be frustrated if it takes you a little while to memorize the different sections of the practice tune.

I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial on open chord embellishments. Eventually you'll apply similar embellishments to the power chords, barre chords, and any other chord you learn down the road; it just becomes a natural part of your playing to spontaneously embellish the chords you use.

But before that happens your fingers need to be super comfortable with the mechanics of it and your mind needs to remember that it's an option. So work on these examples until they're completely under your fingers, and all of a sudden you'll find yourself spontaneously using these embellishments in other contexts as well. Have fun with it!
