Description

This song has two guitar layers: an electric and an acoustic. As far as the acoustic is concerned, any guitar will do the trick. Tip:if you are playing the song with a band, you may want an acoustic that has more of a bright, shimmery tone to cut through the rhythm section.

The electric guitar needs to have single coil pickups, like a Telecaster or Stratocaster. The tone of either guitar is bright and spanky - perfect for old-school country pickin'.

As far as amps go, any vintage tube amp will work. Keep the settings clean with each of the EQ settings set around mid-way.

Add some reverb and slap back echo to the electric guitar for that authentic Sun Studios sound. Check out the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model: Drive: 40% Bass: 55% Mid: 55% Treble: 50% Presence: 50%
Spring Reverb: Wet/DryMIX: 55%
Slapback Echo: Time: 150ms Feedback: 25% Wet/DryMIX: 30%
