Description

After an a cappella vocal intro, guitar 1 starts riffing around an open dropped-D chord. The first move you'll notice is the semi-tone slide into the D chord, which is used all the way throughout this tune. Also be sure to get a feel for the strumming, which is loose and relaxed, and stays that way throughout the tune as well.

The whole song has a jammy, improvisational feel, so while it is beneficial to learn the parts note-for-note, it's more important to absorb the many rhythm guitar concepts/ideas used throughout the song and express them in your own way within the framework of the song.
