- Pentatonic Major Box Exercise Conclusion
Throughout this tutorial we'll use two specific patterns to play each of the 5 pentatonic boxes.
The first pattern is straight up & down the scale box shape. We'll do this in a swinging rhythm of eighth note triplets. This gives us a way to play the pattern in a musical context.
The second pattern is a sequence of 3's, up then down the scale. We'll do this in eight note triplets. This requires a little bit more complex picking!
I'll do each exercise at 80BPM, then a little faster at 120BPM. This will give you a great workout for your fingers and ears!
In this lesson we'll start right in with the 1st pentatonic box!
