Most P90 pickups are not the same size as standard humbuckers, but there are some specials that are built to be drop-in replacements. Check the description from the manufacturer.

check out the phat cat pickups...they're special designed p-90s that fit in the humbucker slot.

you could just get a Epiphone Lp Junior. What i've seen the about the same price as a pair of p-90's and they come with them installed. Just my thought bye

The Seymour Duncan Phat cat is what you need...really nice p90...and built to be a retrofit for humbuckers.

I would not buy the Lp Junior, although it may cost what a new set of p90's do, they will no doubt be shoddy pickups in comparison to the Duncans.

bad stock pups can spoil some awesome guitars

cheers fella's
yes in an ideal world we would all go out buy a gibson gold top to add to the collection BUT its all about the money. think i'll do the seymour duncan retro fit path, may also look into some other alternative brands for retro fitting p90's to keep costs down
cheers

The best P90 for an Epiphone Les Paul are definitely the Phat Cat's by Seymour Duncan. I have a set of these pickups and my Epiphone Les paul and the sound is amazing

Changing out the original pickups for the new Duncans was also an exceptionally easy task. I highly recomend this upgrade for Epiphone Les Pauls and Even SG's.
