When I play open chords or bar chords on the first fret (of my acoustic guitar) and quickly mute all the strings by laying the heel of my right hand onto the strings up by the bridge, I hear a high pitched noisethat persists for about 1-1/2 seconds afterwards. It's kind of annoying. When I am playing chords at the 2nd fret or higher, as soon as I mute the strings, all the noise goes away immediately. I can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas what's going on? Thanks.
