Hi there,

Complete noobie here. Even though I'm just starting out, something I was thinking might help would be software where you can load standard (?) or tab notation, and the software then plays it back, highlighting the notes so you can follow them.

I know theres probably something like that out there but would take recomendations from peeps who know a bit about this.

There are 2 computer programs that do this.

Guitar Pro

Power Tabs

I use both. Both have pros & cons. Guitar Pro is kind of the industry standard. Power Tabs is the "freeware version". There are tabs for tons of songs available for both. Hope this helps!
