Greets!

I want to replace the humbuckers on the Bc Rich NJ Beast
with Emg's.So far i have decided to buy an EMG 81 and an EMG 85.Anyways, what positions should i choose for each one(bridge or neck) for a bassy yet with tremble sound and the most important ; will i need to modify the guitar's body?

thanks

I think the 85 was meant to be a neck pickup & the 81 as a bridge pickup ... I think Zakk Wylde's guitar is setup like that too.
It's not mandatory that you set them up like that , you should try both pickups in both positions and see the difference yourself.

they both come in neck and bridge positions, though my main concern is the
body modification. You see i could pay for a custom, usa made one,but distance remains a problem since the distributors (at least in greece where i live) will not take such orders,i have not asked yet to be honest. So my best bet is a korean made one.Anyways,is it possible that i will need to modify the body (woodwork and such)to place a couple of emg's?

Since your guitar has humbuckers , any other humbucker should fit without body modification including EMGs.
You'll just need to find a room for the 9v battery somewhere inside the back of your guitar .

I've got a B.C. Rich Warlock NJ series...I put the 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck...trust me...from a sound standpoint, this is what you want! The crunch is freakin awesome!! I have EMG's in all my guitars now. I did not need to make any adjustments...the EMG's just dropped right in...you may have to fiddle with the battery a little, but no biggie.
