Tweak it to your liking, you wouldn't destroy it anyway :)
Pedals have pots that might response differently depending on the taper type it uses. OK, there is this standard for volume or tone or whatever, but hey, in those DS-1 I mods, found some came with non std. So it looks like they trying to catch the standard amount of prduction in a day, so they might think, what the heck I'll just use this pot or something.

Just trust your own ear!!!
