Hey everyone. I'm not sure if this is the kind of question that will get a response on this forum, but hey it's cool anyway cuz I found a good guitar forum for other info anyway.

So yeah, I have a Boss ME-33, I've had it for about 3 years and it's been great. However, I guess it decided to crap out on me or something, and I don't know what is up. It was working a few days ago, and now it wont. When I turn it on "BOSS ME-33" flashes across the LED screen like it normally does. The thing is, instead of going to an effect like it is supposed to, it just sits there and does nothing. None of the buttons will work either, I can sit and hack on them all I want and it just sits there stupid with "ME-33" displayed on the screen. I called Boss support but they want $70/hr plus parts to look at a $150 peice of equipment. If anyone can help at all I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!

I dont have one of these puppys however...

Having checked batteries, power etc etc, I'd do a factory reset. You will lose any user patches that are not backed up however, I guess that is better than either...a knackered ME33 or a hefty bill from a repair guy.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

Tried the factory reset, but it didn't help. :(

Thanks for the idea though. Any other suggestions??

You don't have a local guitar repair shop? There's a guy at my local music store that is always busy fixing electronics. That's his sole job; to fix keyboards, amps, effects. Actually, he just replaced a pot in my Crybaby.

Anyways, that type of guy in your town should be much cheaper than $70/hr!
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Yeah I'll check into that I guess. There's gotta be someone that knows how to fix it for less than 70/hr!
