I had the same problem with my first guitar. I belive that the frebat has sunk down in the neck a little bit under the 5th and the 6th string. Because of that, your strings touches the 17th fretbar which causes the buzz.. Sometimes the fretbars rises or sunk, depending on the guitar has been exposed to warmth (the wood on the neck expands) or cold (the neck presses itself together). One problem sometimes appears when you buy a guitar from a foreign country with different tempatures, cause the wood that the guitarfactory uses is adapted the climate in that country.

Anyway, don't worry to much, I think you can solve the problem. Just visit your local guitarstore and show them the problem. ;)

Good luck!!!!
Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
