strings buzz

hi all. i need help with my strings coz my 5th n 6th srtings buzzes whenever its picked especially on the 16th fret. can anyone tell me whats wrong n how to handle it coz it pisses me off whenever i play leads. i own an aria stg-006 with a floyd rose trem.

Sounds like you need a setup.....most music stores offer this service. A setup includes adjusting the truss rod (leave this adjustment to someone who is experienced, the neck can be easily broken by someone with no experience.) They may also adjust the bridge saddle heights and intonation.

Keep this in mind.....Climate has a big effect on a guitar. I do a setup on my guitars at least twice a year (winter and summer). Also, changing string gauges or changing tunings from say standard tuning to 1 step down will also bring on the need for a setup. All of this is because a guitar is made of wood, and wood will shrink and swell, so adjustments have to be made to accomodate for this.

haha,ive just sent d guitar 4 setup 2 wks ago. mayb its bcoz of d strings i used. used 2 using ernie ball but now i've changed it 2 dean markley.

Well, if you just had a setup and it's still buzzing, either the person who did the setup screwed it up, or there is something else wrong. Did you change those strings before or after the setup?
