does any1 know where i can get a cheap distortion effect pedal?
i have been wanting 1 4 a while now and my eye is starting to twitch because i haven't found a reasonable price.
i don't mind if it is second hand or brand new but it must be under $80 and in working order
by the way i m in australia so if u reply write it in aussie dollars. :eek: ;)

try eBay, I couldn't sell a bunch of Boss pedals there were so many of 'em

The Boss DS-1 is a great sounding, versitile distortion pedal, and it's only $40 American (Not sure what it is in Australian). Definitely something to check out.

you could make your own. will cost for all the parts for about $50-60 aus (this is for a simple distortion), plus you will have some parts left to start the next effect.

Cool site

I remember back in High School I made a distortion box for Electronics class (back in the early 80's) and remember I had to replace the 9v battery like everyday. :)

There are a lot of really cool dist-pedals around. I'm not very happy with Boss-pedals, but they are really cheap. The DS-1 i a nice one, but it sounds more like a bumble bee. But for that prize, I guess it's one of the coolest you can get.

Others: Z Vex, Xotic, Dunlop, Jacques, Visual Sound, etc. There are a lot of cool pedals out there. But, the coolest is to make you own :D try www.diystompboxes.com
