G3 are starting their European tour next month with Robert Fripp and Ive shelled out serious cash to see them in Birmingham UK. Have they done any gigs in the US and how did they compare with previous lineups?

I saw them in copenhagen the 14/6, and i really liked it, except for robert fripps part of the show.... when it started he sat down in a corner of the stage playing nearly the same thing for about 45 min. and damn, people were bored.... but then Vai entered the staged and rocked the place.
about an hour later satriani did a great job as well, and they all finished playing together, and still with robert fripp sitting totally in the back of the stage hiding in the shadows ...

but with no doubt a great evening :) except for the start ^^

Feel sorry for me now. I got sick and couldn't attend the gig =(( A friend bought the tickets and he said Vai was awesome. I really really wanted to see Vai =((( I've had to work alot on my tapping just to keep my heart pumping blood. Stupid sickness.

Hahahahhaha. lol. That's exactly how I remember Robert Fripp on the last G3 tour he was on (around 1998). I know some people see something in him, but I personally think he stinks too. :rolleyes:

Heh, yeah i knew i couldn't be the only one with that oppinion, cause it was really damn boring.
