I listen to alot of stuff but i like listening to Metallica and Iron Maiden, both legendary bands, but i want to get into another band but i am not sure what band, name some legendary bands other than van halen and guns and roses,

Sum other legendary bands are The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Frank Zappa, Rising Force, The Scorpions, Venom, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Vai, Dream Theater, etc etc.

AC/DC, Rush, Slayer, Supertramp, Symphony X, Anthrax, Megadeth, Pantera, April Wine, Black Sabbath, Boston, Pink Floyd, Queen, Testament, Deep Purple..

Those are legedary rock bands imo. There's lots more but bah.

the beatles and deep purple you have heard but i have to say it again... one band that isn't quite legendary yet but is definately goin off is the living end. They are like a modern version of the stray cats and Chris Cheney (singer and guitarist) is awesome. If you like iron maiden you will also definately like a band called dragonforce... they are crazy and sing about fighting dragons and conquering the world and the like (listen to heart of a dragon). Ridiculous...

Well that all depends on where you live.
In western/northern europe they are beyond legendary..
