Hey bro... I notice no one's much help around here...
I can't really help to much with your D minor song cause I'm not into the Beach Boys, but if you want I can give you all the 'minor' chords and a bit of insight into them, then maybe you could play around with them and figure out your own version of the song.
If you want to impress your friends then my advice is to play some Metallica. I've tabbed tonnes of their songs if you want to try them (and yes, they are correct).
You should go to www.mxtabs.net and look up your songs there... I have no idea if they have any Beach Boys, they probably will... it's worth a try having a look there.

Basic theory man. Basic chords too. Go to any basic website and you'll learn these basic things. It's like math, there's a formula and it takes time to learn. It'd take a very long time to type it all out for you to catch up and thousands of people have already done it, so just go look for it. :D
