This is all that really goes on in #guitar_tricks, its pretty sad really, but we have fun:

www.sambob.net/untitled13.mp3

I guess we're looking for opinions or something like that, maybe not, I can't really be sure.

But to give credit where its due, the drums bass and keyboard parts are all mine, as is the horrible sax solo at the end. The first guitar solo is Leedogg, and the second is Pantallica.

Enjoy.. maybe.. or not.

Sam, how are we supposed to make our millions when you distribute our blood, sweat, and tears so freely on this new-fangled internet? :D Just kidding, I'm glad you did. I think that last one turned out pretty good, it was definately a new kind of song for me. While we're at it, we might as well make the rest of our musical library available.

The co-op song
circa September '03

The co-op song was the first one we did, it was made from a backing track that Pantallica had laying around. Pantallica starts things off, then I come in at 1:27 through 2:07, then sambob finishes it off. I remember sam was having some difficulties with his recording setup, but I've listened to this song so many times it all blends pretty well to me :p

Sonic Panty Remover
circa October '03

This was a song that Pantallica and I did in a lurid attempt to discreetly coerce the panties off of any girl who should hear our beautiful music
Here's the breakdown:
start - 0:44 -- Leedogg
0:44 - 1:32 -- Pantallica
1:32 - 2:41 -- Leedogg
2:41 - 3:50 -- Pantallica
the rest -- Leedogg (I was trying weird harmonizations)

Pitch Axis of Evil
circa November '03

Sam was back on board for this one. He made the backing and did the first solo up until 1:12. At that point Pantallica came and continued on until 2:13. Next comes the sweet fade out, then I come in at 2:22 and continue until around 3:40 where sam comes back in with the wah-full outro. This was one of my favorites.

Shockwaves
circa January '04

Another backing courtesy of Sam. This one just features Sam and I, and is pretty short, yet still effective. Sam starts it out and goes until 1:29, then I come in and finish this puppy off. I'm pretty sure I liked my playing on this one the most.

Well, I hope you guys enjoy these songs. Come into #guitar_tricks some time if y'all wanna get on the music makin' train.
I know, I'm corny :o

Just incase it's not entirely clear, the titles from my above post are linked to the songs, so check 'em out. And sam, what do you mean you forgot about the other songs, lol?

I think those tunes are great, and to have 3 guys contribute to a song is cool. I'd love to join in on the fun sometime, except now that I've rejoined society I don't have too much time. What programs do you guys use and when are you planning your next creation?

I use a program called Acid Pro for my recordings. It's pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. As for our next song, I suppose that's up to Sam since he's the one that does our backings.

Yeah that's cool, I've got that program actually. Decently simple layout and operation I think. I'd be honored to be given a chance to lay down a track and I'll even try my hand at making the backup stuff for one, although it'll probably turn out pretty rough compared to that last one.

Not bad.

It sounds a bit like elevator music, or something you'd hear on a wine commercial.
