I prefer hollow to solid bodies and am looking to shell out on something decent. ideally I'd like Gretsch White Falcon but no way can i afford one. quality Gibsons and Epiphones dont come cheap either. anyone any experience of reasonably priced but good Jap/Korean copies like Tokai. I've got an old Aria Pro 11 TA but it's getting a bit battered.

Ibanez comes to mind. They're not the best instruments, but they're priced nicely.

why don't you look at the ESP X-Tone series, i have heard some very good things about them, the PC-V1 especially.

I have a lot of experience with them since I sell them online. The quality is excellent, especially for the $$. They use good electronics and are made in small runs with very nice woods.

The Dillion DSE533 can be had new for around $450. Here is a link to the Dillion site.
