this is for the flamenco players...how long did it take for you to develope a good rasgueado?? Ive just recently started and its just a tab bit hard to get down..especially with my pinky..any tips to get a really strong rasgueado?? i know most of you will say practice but if you practice this technique wrong then im bound to have a hell of alot of problems in my future trying to play flamenco

The way I did it was doing rasqueado ALL THE TIME. I would practice slow ISAMI, go faster and faster. Though I tried to make it fluent and not a trottiong sound. When you can do it, it will sound pretty weak, but keep practacing. I dont mean on a guitar, LOL. I mean try doing rasqueado on like a metal tube as fast and hard as you can for like a minuet straight. It may not seem hard, but it kills your forearm. Make your rasqueado very tense and slow. When your hand donsent get tired form the the excercise, make your rasqueados fast and tense as you can.

Also I found a trick. If you do a rasqueado on time ISAMI, and immedatly damp the strings, the rasqueado sounds VERY strong and vibrant.

Rasquado is in my opinion one of the easyest techniques on classical guitar and it didn't took me long to learn. The main problem is bringing your pinky back soon enaugh for another strum. Just practice without guitar like someone already told and make all moves as even as possible and you should get it. Also you can try some easy classical songs like Solares(dont know the composer right now but I can look it up).
