Ketsueki,I gather that the going wisdom was that Saddam was making and had made tonnes of WMD's.Now,WMD's happen to be a tool any terrorist would love to have(imagine what would've happened if the first plane diving ino the first tower had a nuke inside). It was thus argued that if Saddam(a WMD possesor who hated America) got a hook up with Osama(a terrorist who equally,if not more, hated america),the results would be,uhm, for lack of a better word,I'll use disastrous.
Now,the WMD's are a story we're now familiar with.
Plus what Pony said above.
And as an aside, can you see why I'm laughing when Hammurabi asks "...who cares about those supposed weapons of mass destruction?..."?
Aaahh,those!! :p

why must i provide links if their is such an easy thing such as google but since you insisted.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2003/04/27/walq27.xml
for some reason the link will delete itself if i try to put it on one line so just put it piece by piece intoo the adress bar and if that doesnt work i will find another one.

I've read that article, and I should remind all of us this;that while we're virtually at the mercy of the press for what we know with regard to almost anything, newspapers are businesses trying to make a buck as well.
I'm not saying that story is fabricated, but a little skeptism/cynism never hurts in cases like this.
Do I believe it?
That the daily telegraph was better at reaching evidence from Iraqi inteligence buildings ruins than American authorities?
And knowing how hard-pressed Bush is for evidence that Justifies the war as a war against terrorism, specifically terrorism targeted at America?
:D :D
