Exactly! Although it´s not as easy as English, it´s funny to read things like:

"Mein Deutsch mit der winde verweht ist!"

Not really the right expression, but everyone will know what you mean, and that´s essential!
And you did the translation perfectly!

I'm sure you all know the Novel Gone with the wind.I'm also sure you know that in German it's called Mit Der Winde Verweht.
I was now trying trying to construct a sentence from it.and considering I remember this from 8 years ago, after using some books called Willkommen upto Willkommen book 4,I think I'm trying.
But I will learn my German back and then some. It's just that some things are not quite in place, but when they do,I will learn.Deutsch,Italiano,Francois,Espanyol,a whole lotta them.I'm a lingophile.
By the way,I thought saying Ich habe vergessen was a bit too flat, and since I fancy myself an artist and a poet, why would I go flat?

I've never learned German but English is one screwed up language in many ways. Most languages are easier than English to learn.

True, I'd agree that English is difficult to master. However, I have noticed that, while the most garbled and hacked-up English is somewhat understandable when spoken by a non-English speaker, people of other languages have difficulties understanding their own language when it is garbled and hacked-up (e.g. by me).

Hope that makes some sense.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

There are few things in life as lame as the pursuit of fame for its own sake. Just look at all those saddoes on 'Big Brother' and other reality TV show. You should enjoy playing in a band for its own sake. The number of bands Ive been in which have broken up because of the rampant ego of just one person. If fame is a by product that's fine but just remember all the sh*t that goes with it. Unfounded rumours about weird tastes in sex, getting pestered by mingers (as well as babes), hatemail and freaky fanmail, psychotic stalkers, getting slagged off in the press, becoming the butt of comedians jokes, having to do PAs when all you want is a quiet pint. As it happens, I saw George Michael in a local restaurant the other night. All he wanted was to have a quiet meal but these teenage girls were getting in his face..literally. At one point he was about to take a mouthful, when a load of this girl's hair fell onto his plate ..while still on her head though. He was well p*ssed off I tell you.

to me fame isnt to be a superstar like michael jackson was in his best days where you can barely take a sh*t without beeing pestered by some insane freaks.
to me fame is beeing known amongst the scene. touring around the globe. having an audience that understands and honors what i´m doing. selling enough albums to make my living. sort of like .. i dunno - iron maiden or bind guardian or bands like that.

I'm in it for the money. It's a gamble. Anyway, if I ever become a popstar and complain about teenage girls bugging me while I eat my lunch, I hope there's somebody there to break my teeth while asking me why the **** I didn't eat in then.
