I know to an extent what it's like to be famous. Back in highschool, I was the 'guitar guy'. That was my social standing in that subculture, known to everybody and I was in every single band in the entire town, no kidding. I went through all the stages when somebody loses their popularity or gets put out of the scene when I went to university. Did me good though, so I'm sure I'll be able to handle it with ease next time I go through it.
