Noticed in some other thread somewhere someone wishing they could get mario sound effects from their guitar.
Which reminded me of this video:

DAMN!

That guy rules,haha.
If you put Yngwie and that guy in a room, he'd kick Yngwie's ass playing that.

I have a new goal in life.... email that guy and ask him for the tab for that music, then learn it!

Are you saying to sweep pick like that is hard ? Someone said that on the HC forums.

Its not that hard. I think its pretty cool though and i've worked out some of it myself.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

If you wanna get good at anything on the guitar..then you must PRACTICE...PRACTICE and playing is the key to getting better..with sweep picking practice it slow
Ya know...if some people on the other forums and the new ones on this forum who ask about playing fast would practice as much as they read and post "speed" questions then maybe they would have knowticed some improvement but enough with my rant...
Just practice...yah that guy is cool..ive been trying to figure out how he got that one sweep to sound when your goin down a green tube in the game

I cant give you the tabs or anything but i have to agree that practice is what you need to do. Sweep picking is hard but once you get the hang of it you will find its such a fast way of playing. The sweeps he plays are not really that fast !

yeah - arps are a funny lil way to play at lightning speeds which you can hardly accomplish with regular scale-noodling. once you got them down you can do pretty fast things.

you know that i´m normally not realy into this shred kind of thing.. but sometimes even i get bored. :D

here´s a lil nonsense-thing i recorded for a buddy of mine who didnt believe me that guitarrists can play very fast.

its only a 5 second segment. the end consists of a few lil simple arps chained together

E||-----------15-15-------------------17-17-------------------19-19-------------------17-17----------|
B||--------15-------15-------------17-------17-------------15-------15-------------17-------17-------|
G||-----16-------------16-------18-------------18-------16-------------16-------18-------------18----|
D||--17-------------------17-19-------------------19-17-------------------17-19-------------------19-|
A||--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E||--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

-----------19-19-------------------21-21-------------------19-19-------------------19-24--|----||
--------19-------19-------------17-------17-------------19-------19-------------19--------|----||
-----20-------------20-------18-------------18-------20-------------20-------20-----------|----||
--21-------------------21-19-------------------19-21-------------------21-21--------------|----||
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|----||
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|----||

doesnt make much sense at all - just wanted to try how fast i can possibly get. out of curiosity i programmed this arp into guitarpro and turned up the speed untill it sounded the way that i played it. i dunno how accurate it is for at such speeds its hard to make out anything, but according to guitarpro those are 36nd notes at 280 bpm which is 37.3 notes a second.
too bad that there is no musical situation where a thing like that makes sense. LOL

(the red cross is due to my video software - its just a trial version *LOL*)

You´re not really in this shred kind of thing?

Well, good picking for that!

But I´m also not into shred music, and nevertheless I practice things like that, because: 1.) I think if the shred has also a good melody than it fits in a song as a solo, and 2.) If you´re good at it you can critize shreders for their little musical abilities (those where it´s true), and then they can´t argument by saying: "You´re just jealous because you can´t play that fast!" :D
