Do any of you have any experience with or any stories of the green muse?

Yeah, don't do what my mate did on his 18th and down 5 shots of it 1 after another...

Seriously though, nice stuff in moderation. Helps warm your insides up :)

thats not true - you americans just are not used to drink real mans stuff *LOL*

i love the 85% "Absinthe Hapsburg 85"!

of course - when you overdo it - as with any other alcoholic drink - you have a good chance of 'spreading your word' directly in the face of someone who happens to have the bad luck of beeing close to you in that very moment...

I have a lot of experience with absinthe, evening classic brands like Pernod (cost me a bundle though!).

I've also made my own quite a few times, usin a wide variety of recipes.

I don't really have that many stories though. I mean, drunk is drunk, after a half an hour at least.

I've gotta get a bottle of that. The most alcoholic drink I've had is Satruce, which is about 60%.

The problem isn't the alcohol in American beer it's the messed up added chemicals.

In UK pubs, or perhaps only scottish ones, the owner can only see 2 shots of absinth per customer! But no one really cares!

Yuk! Manky stuff i should think, it contains hallucinogenic alkaloids similar to LSD. I've had a very nasty experience with some Mezcal, that's a tequila which contains a little grub which feeds on the mescal cactus, therefore it has a bit of mescaline in it. I had the "worm" (more a caterpillar I think) on the first night with a bit of the grim alcohol. Things had a slight blue tinge to them but it wasn't very trippy, it may only have been a manifestation of some recalcitrant blueness in my flat, a case of wishful thinking regarding its hallucinogenic fx. The next day I drank most of the rest of the bottle, was sick in a bin. Spent my birthday on my own feeling
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

blech.. I remember when the Canadian breweries went on strike years ago and we had to drink Coors cause it was the only thing available.
3% alcohol? What the heck is that?
We were blown away that Americans actually drank that stuff on a regular basis.
