I was thinking maybe it'd be a good idea to "eventually" sort out a chat schedule so that it gets used more. Or even better, start a room on a program like Pal Talk so that we can use voice chat and put aside some time every week for showing other members new licks and tricks we've learnt. Maybe even do some lessons?

What do you hosts reckon?

That sounds like a great idea. I think having a voice chat thing so we could play guitar over the net like you can do on some yahoo chat rooms would be a good idea.
I agree that this should be at least thought about :D
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Good good, im not completely on my own then. It'd be helpful for listening to what setups everyone else uses and what chorus pedal or wah sounds like with what amp and pickups...blah blah etc etc.

It would be great. Instead of waiting for someone to make a clip of something they could just play it for you straight away. I always love hearing how other peoples gear sounds and what kind of stuff everyone plays :)
