i have a problem.
my jack ass brother picked up my imitation strat and was attempting to play some power chord punk garbage and he cranked the whammy bar so hard down that he bent the plate of the bridge at the screws.
now the damn thing is bent up in the air a 1/4 of an inch. it's messing up my solo play at the lower frets of the neck as the strings are considerably elevated from thier original position.
i need to know if i can just change my bridge or get someone to bend it back to shape or if im up **** creek without a paddle.
if anyone can help i would appreciate it
thank you.

If it isn't bent too badly, it can probably be straightened out. The metal may have cracked along a line between the screw holes, which means it has to be replaced.

StewMac is a very good source for parts.

And your brother should pay the bill! Paying sixty bucks (plus shipping!) just might help him learn to keep his hands off other people's gear!
